Teens Dream — inspired by Martin Luther King — is a collaborative of teens and adults who want to encourage teens to be change agents in their own lives, their communities, and the world.  It does this by encouraging them to express, share and network around their dreams as they relate to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Utilizing an annual video competition, Teens Dream is building a global community of teen dreamers working to connect them to the vast array of existing organizations focused on engaging and empowering youth, with a focus in its third year on linking teens aspirations to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.  Teens from anywhere in the world ages 13-18 submit a simple 2 minute youtube video of their dream, as it relates to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.  All submissions are honored on our website under the gallery and also under the visual map of the world.  Nine winners are chosen, three from each category:  personal, community or global dream.  Winning submitters are given prominence on our website, receive up to $500 in cash prizes, are flown or skyped into our annual celebration in Washington, DC and are introduced to organizations and mentors who can support them in pursuing their dreams.

Teens Dream is the first successfully incubated project of the Global Co Lab Network.  The “Co Lab” is a new non-governmental organization that empowers teens and millennials with older generations to create initiatives to make the world a better place, utilizing design thinking, mindfulness, and small gatherings designed to incubate intentional collaborative intergenerational initiatives that empower youth.  See the Global Co Lab website  https://www.globalcolab.net  to learn more about other initiatives focused on empowering teens and millennials.
